There's a real time problem

Going through all the data takes too long

Every freight carries a certain amount of administrative work behind it. Someone has to enter the order, chase the documents and check them, work out what the freight cost, and get the invoice out against what was agreed.

Most of that involves reading information that already exists somewhere and moving it into the right place. And because each person on the team records things slightly differently, finding it again later takes longer than it should.

A customer's own spreadsheet of next week's loads: dozens of rows with dates in six different formats, weights in tonnes and in kilos and sometimes missing, blank pallet counts, and delivery addresses typed into the notes column.

What is Meight AI?

An assistant that already knows your operation

That work still has to happen, but not all of it has to be done by hand. Meight AI reads what comes in and puts it where it belongs, and when you need something back out, you ask it instead of going to look.

It is built into the platform, so there is nothing to connect and nothing to set up, and you talk to it the same way you'd ask someone in the office.

The request becomes a freight

Send it the order however it arrived, whether that's an email, a spreadsheet or even a message. It can do things like creating the freight with the customer, with places and cargo already filled in and even priced based on your rate.

If it comes across a customer or a place it hasn't seen before, it adds them, and if something is missing, it lets you know instead of guessing.

Update it

It handles the next step

Ask it to put the load on a truck or change the driver. Ask it to close off several freights at once, or create the purchase order for a subcontractor and draft the email that goes with it. Whatever step it takes gets written into the freight's history, next to everything your team has done.

Invoice it

It gets the invoice ready

It watches for work that has finished and proposes what to invoice, grouped the way each customer wants it, whether that's one per freight or one a month.

Before it proposes anything it checks the things that usually hold an invoice up, like a missing VAT number or an address that isn't right. You approve it and it goes out. If you'd rather it issued them on its own, you can set the limits it has to stay inside, and it stops on anything that doesn't pass.

Skills

Some jobs you should only have to explain once

Some jobs come round every week and get done the same way every time. Building next week's freights from a customer's spreadsheet, or adding a surcharge to one client's loads.

A skill is a set of instructions you write once, in your own words. Once it's saved, the assistant follows it every time, so nobody has to describe the job again.

You write it the way you'd explain it to someone who had never done it before. Where the information is, what should happen with it, and what to do when something doesn't look right.

Settings → Automation → Skills

  • Written in plain words

You write the instructions in normal language, the same way you'd explain the job to someone on your team. There is nothing technical to set up.

  • Shared with your team

The skill is saved in your workspace, not on one person's account. Anyone on the team can see it, run it, or change how it works.

  • It doesn't guess

If something is missing or doesn't look right, the skill leaves it alone and flags it for you instead of filling in something that might be wrong.

What it won't do

Bringing an assistant into your operation means letting it see your freights, your customers and your documents. It's fair to want to know where that goes and what the assistant can do with it.

  • Your data stays yours

Your freights, your customers, your prices and your documents stay inside your workspace. They are used to answer your questions and nothing else. What you charge and who you work with doesn't go anywhere, and none of it is used to train anything.

  • You decide what it's allowed to do

It proposes and waits. It drafts the freight, prepares the invoice, writes the email, and someone approves before anything happens. If there are jobs you'd rather it handled on its own, you decide which ones.

  • You can see everything it did

Every step it takes is written into the record's history, next to what your team has done, with the document it read still attached. If a price changed or a freight moved, you can see that the assistant did it, when, and what it was working from.
