Quoting
Know what to charge, and whether it pays, before you answer
Open Quote on a freight, enter the pickup and the delivery, and the platform gives you a suggested price and its profitability — estimated against the route and against the freights you have already run.
Trusted by organizations from around the world

Why it matters upstream
The price you quote is the ceiling on everything downstream
Quoting is where the number is set, and every stage after it lives under that number. It is also where profitability reporting begins: when the freight closes, Meight compares what it actually cost against what you quoted — which it can only do if the quote happened in here. A price agreed over the phone leaves nothing to measure the month against.
One screen, and the two panels beside it
Open Quote on a freight and this is what you get. Nothing here is created or changed until you decide to create the freight.
A suggested price
Estimated costs for the route as entered — the distance you will really drive, the hours it takes, what the road charges — added up into a price you can say out loud.
Previous freight data
The same lane, the last time you ran it. What you charged, what it returned, and whether the number you are about to give is in line with it.
Available Drivers
Who is near the route and has hours left, checked while you are still on the call — so the price you quote is one you can actually cover.
Four steps, one call
What actually happens between the customer asking and you answering, in the order it happens.
01
Enter the route as it will really run
Pickup and delivery to start with. Add the intermediate stops if there are any, or invert the whole route when the return leg is the one being asked about.
- Intermediate stops added in the order they are driven
- Invert the route to price the return without entering it again
02
Read the price and whether it pays
The platform estimates the cost of the route as entered and returns a suggested price with its profitability beside it. Both are on screen before you say a number to anybody.
- Suggested price and profitability, together
- Estimated from the route, not from last year's average
03
Check it against what you have run before
The Previous freight data panel puts comparable freights beside the quote — the same lane, recently, and what each of them actually returned. It is the fastest sanity check there is on a number you are about to commit to.
- Comparison against previous similar freights
- Your own history, not a market index
04
See who could actually run it
The Available Drivers panel shows who is near the route with hours left. And nothing on this screen is created or changed — when the customer accepts, you create the freight, and the quote carries its details into it.
- Drivers near the route, with hours remaining
- Nothing is committed until you create the freight
What quoting becomes next
The quotation screen ships today. These are being built on top of it, and they are marked so you can tell the difference.

Common questions
Where does the cost per kilometre come from?
From your own numbers. Fixed costs per vehicle you give us once; fuel, tolls and hours arrive from your cards and telematics and keep updating themselves.
Can we keep our own quote document?
Yes. The quote goes out on your template, with your terms and your logo, in the language you sell in. What changes is where the numbers on it come from.
What if we price off contracted rates, not cost?
Contracted rates are what the pricing rules layer is for, and that layer is still in development. Today you quote the agreed number and read the estimated cost and profitability beside it — so you can still see, lane by lane, what that contract is actually returning.
Do we have to replace our invoicing software?
No. Meight Connect passes accepted quotes and closed trips to the system your accounts already run — SAP, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics and others — so nothing about that side has to change.
Plug into everything you already run
ERPs, telematics, fuel cards, freight exchanges, digital signatures. Connect the tools your operation runs on and stop typing the same data twice.
